A new year means a change in design trends from fashion to interior design. We've studied the projected trends in homes that are coming and are delighted to see some of our favorite styles. These below styles have been featured in some of our models in 2020! Which trend is your favorite?
Colorful Kitchens
White kitchens are gorgeous, bright and timeless but they aren't for everybody. One of the biggest interior design trends is having bold colors in your kitchen! The color leading this trend is green from hues of sage to deep emerald. We used green for our Lakes at Legacy model and it truly is a show stopper.
Cottage Style Wallpaper
It's no secret that we love having accent wallpapers in our homes, but the style of wallpaper is always changing! We've used prints from neutral abstract to bold geometric and now to the hottest trend cottage style. We love this trend since it leans toward prints featuring natural plants which is lovely to tie into a room design. See our Lakewood at Brookhollow 55' model for some cottage inspiration.
Home Offices or Built-Ins
Home offices have always been a nice practical choice when building your home, but it's now the must have after this past year. We're a big fan of full office rooms or even built-in nooks! It all depends on your family's lifestyle and needs.
Rustic Style Printed Tiles
We love a good printed tile. It's the perfect way to add an easy pop to a bathroom or laundry room. The latest focus in printed tile are rustic style. These styles can vary from bold colors to something more subtle. We chose a more subtle color scheme for this master bath oasis. It's also a really fun way to mix in other tile styles and colors, as you can see with our shower selections!
Wicker and Rattan
One of biggest trends that's just growing bigger is wicker and rattan! These natural materials add warmth and lightness to home decor. They also go perfectly with modern lines and clean designs. We love mixing them with modern and traditional styling for an extra pop!
Earthy, Grounded Shades
Another popular trend is adding in a wider variety of paint color! Bright white and greige have been the kings of home design for a long time, but adding in some earthy shades can add to a space. We loved the idea of mixing black into our formal dining room to contrast with the white wainscoting. It turned out marvelous!
