Another Reason to Live in Frisco, Texas!!!
Eighteen campuses of Frisco ISD have been named Higher Performing Schools by the National Center for Educational Achievement.
The Higher Performing School designation is based on one of two measures: growth of students at the school and/or absolute achievement of students at the school. The measures identify schools that outperform their peers that serve similar student populations. Additionally, the school must have greater than expected academic growth for three consecutive years to make the Higher Performing School list. The NCEA looks at reading, math, science, writing and/or social studies scores for determination.
New schools (opened since 2007), schools who do not include testing grade levels, schools with too many missing test scores, or schools with too few students enrolled at a specific time, are not included in the analysis.
The FISD schools are Bledsoe Elementary, Borchardt Elementary, Centennial High School, Clark Middle School, Fisher Elementary, Fowler Middle School, Frisco High School, Griffin Middle School, Liberty High School, Mooneyham Elementary, Pink Elementary, Pioneer Heritage Middle School, Roach Middle School, Robertson Elementary, Sparks Elementary, Staley Middle School, Wakeland High School, and Wester Middle School.
